BIEFF 2017, in collaboration with MUBI, offers a series of films created by seminal auteurs from the history of experimental cinema, to be streamed on MUBI for a month, starting with the 23rd of March, 2017. On each day until the 27th of March a new work is made available, and each of them can be streamed for 30 days. MUBI is a curated online cinema bringing you cult, classic, independent, and award-winning movies; among the filmmakers proposed this year by BIEFF are: Jonas Mekas, Maya Deren, Michael Snow, William Klein și Isidore Isou. Details about the partnership are available here, and those who use this hyperlink will receive a 30-day free trial on the platform, for watching the films.

The films will be made available on the MUBI platform according to the following schedule:

Thursday, March 23rd – Meshes of the Afternoon, by Maya Deren & Alexander Hammid (USA, 1943, 14’)
Friday, March 24th – Venom and Eternity, by Isidore Isou (France, 1951, 120’)

Saturday, March 25th  Broadway by Light, by William Klein (France, 1958, 12’)

Sunday, March 26th  ‘Rameau’s Nephew by Diderot’ (Thanx to Dennis Young) by Wilma Schoen, by Michael Snow (Canada, 1974, 270’)

Monday, March 27th – Lost, Lost, Lost, by Jonas Mekas (USA, 1976, 180’)
